CONGRESSO DE ORGANOLOGIA 2021 ORGANOLOGICAL CONGRESS
Introduction
To sound....... or not to sound.....
ANIMUSIC's international conferences, bridging in such a special way the spheres of Science and Art, welcome the participation of thinkers and doers from all subject areas. We are an open community which is involved in research and creativity that deals, in any possible way, with sound and musical instruments. Among us: engineers, museologists, makers, historians, technicians, acousticians, biologists, musicians, conservators, composers, restorers, sociologists, organologists... all those who are dedicated to combining knowledge and going forward with renovated energy. We support relevant work and creative output, practical demonstrations and artistic performance, workshops and exhibitions... proposing, in our activities, a space and time for positive exchange and interdisciplinary discussions. This, as other initiatives organised by ANIMUSIC, fulfill our goal of providing a platform for knowledge and creativity sharing.
Dr Patricia Lopes Bastos / ANIMUSIC
TIME theme for the OC2021
Life is time.

Sound is time.

Time that we live, time that we guess, imagine, create...

The past and the future of others, and our time.

Their sound, and our sound.
Call for Papers - Proposals
We go forward, proposing what we think should always happen for the best of the world and human development, even under such difficult situations as we have witnessed for over a year: to be positive, to be constructive, to share knowledge and wisdom. We promote interchange and multidisciplinarity. We propose to go on working and connecting, gathering all those who love music and sound production, analysis, history, invention...
We invite you to share your thoughts, ideas, observations, studies, experiments, art... here in August.
Come visit a unique, magic place, or connect with this special community online.
