DUO DORONZO | MINAFRA

Project born from the happy encounter between the refined lyricism of trumpeter/flugelhornist Dario Savino Doronzo and the musical exuberance of eclectic pianist and composer Livio Minafra. The duo offers a broad repertoire rooted in the skillful chamber-like elaboration of highly inspired compositions, influenced by various genres (jazz, rock, oriental, classical), exploring the close connection and interaction between Nature and Music combined through artistic research and creation. A continuous dialogue, without ever losing tension, between spaces, dynamics, virtuosity, and colors synergistically converging in a jazz of new breath that finds its core in emotion and madness. They have performed numerous concerts for major Italian and international musical organizations, including Carnegie Hall in New York, International Trumpet Guild | San Antonio (Texas), Kailash Mital Theatre in Ottawa (Canada), Studio Acusticum | Piteå Concert Hall (Sweden), Klap Op De Vuurpijl Theatre in Amsterdam (Netherlands), Museu Nacional da Música in Lisbon (Portugal), Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, The JazzLab in Melbourne (Victoria), Brisbane Jazz Club (Queensland), Festival Jazz au Chellah in Rabat (Morocco), Amphitheatre de l’Opéra de Lyon (France), Jazz Promenade in Yokohama (Japan), etc. They teach Jazz Trumpet and Jazz Piano at the Conservatories of Music.
