Madeira islands in July
Madeira and Porto Santo are fabulous islands, nowadays the destination of thousands of tourists from all over the world, looking for a mild climate, gentle people, safe place and extraordinary biodiversity, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. July will be high-season. We highly recommend to book as early as possible both the flight and the accommodation.
Travel Information
FLIGHTS
The Madeira airport is situated about 18Km from the centre of Funchal, the 'capital' city. There are "Aerobus" shuttles regularly (~7€ ticket, obtained from the bus driver), taxis or other online platforms (Uber, Bolt, etc.) that can bring you to Funchal.

ACCOMMODATION
You can find your accommodation through the online booking platforms (airbnb, booking.com, vrbo, tripadvisor, etc.) or directly book at the hotels of your preference. We have specific discounts with lodging providers, who have been supportive of our work. These rooms are in a limited number, so we recommend an early booking, on the basis of "first come - first served". Our email:

FOOD
The Congress registration includes the coffee-breaks and the smart-lunches during the Sessions, and a banquet-dinner in a spectacular setting, besides various special occasions spread over the Program.
The participants, and friends, and companions, are free to choose where to have the evening meals, thus able to experiment the diversified cuisine offered in Madeira.

MARINA
If you plan to come by boat, notably sailing (in the core, from its creation, ANIMUSIC is a defender of Nature conservation, balanced ecosystems, and a non damaging ecological practice), Madeira has a very well protected Marina, which is being totally renovated, with all the facilities newly built.
If you are staying longer than the Congress week, there are many nautical sports available.

Visit Madeira and Porto Santo
We will have the opportunity to visit a good number of wonderful locations in Madeira. The program is very full, so a trip to Porto Santo is not possible within the 7 days. So, we suggest to add one day to your travel, and try to go before or after the Congress to check the 9km of white sand beach. We feel grateful and privileged to have the Congress Sessions hosted by the Conservatoire, in a magnificent building overlooking the Ocean. At the Program we are preparing with our Partners (see who they are at the Collaboration page), you will have a glimpse of some of the extraordinary places that shall be in our route...
