This is a wonderful encounter between colleagues, scientists and artists, in a nice atmosphere, with a uniting theme: musical instruments and the Art of sound. The invitation is open to all who want to promote their work, show selected objects from their collections, exchange ideas and performance techniques, and much more while participating at the Congress.

 

Of great importance is the connection of ENCONTROIM with the Organological Congress, with a full Session dedicated to makers, inventors, restorers and collectors of musical instruments. ANIMUSIC prepares a special space for the exhibition, with show-cases and tables for the instruments, as well as for books and other materials, offering also a wider visibility through publications, radio and other means.

We kindly ask to register for the ENCONTROIM in advance, so that we organise the exhibition space available, having special periods integrated in the program for promoting the Exhibition. Registration is open to all. The ENCONTROIM | Exhibition has free entrance to the general public.

 

The ENCONTROIM-Exhibition this year is at the Biblioteca Municipal de Tomar (the main setting for the conference). ANIMUSIC is offering an extra Exhibition to the citizens and visitors of Abrantes, to promote the knowledge about Musical Instruments in this area, starting in Summer 2016 - due also as a gratitude gesture to the kindness of the Municipality of Abrantes, who have wide opened their arms to welcome us, providing transportation and hospitality, besides offering the evening concert on Saturday to the congress participants.
