The Organizing Committee agreed to add to the general program a special highlight on a particular type of instrument, so to stimulate more connections between specialists and researchers from other areas.

 

The Director of this particular focus on flutes is Prof. Michael Lynn, who volunteered to organize what is already known to be a magnificent programme. Through his contacts, we are having the pleasure of gathering in Portugal great performers, makers, researchers and collectors of historical flutes, all bound by a long lasting dedication to this instrument.

 

Besides top-professionals, we highly appreciate the involvement of students who thus have a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge and be among such a constructive group of people.
